Flowering Rush – MSU November Monthly Weed Post

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

Flowering Rush  (Butomus umbellatus) is a very adaptable invasive species found in wetlands and waters. It currently is found in only one county and we are hoping to keep it that way. Unchecked this plant can take over irrigation canals and lake shores.   Keep your eyes open for this plant in new places this year.

Download and this new publication from Montana State University, MSU Weed Post – Flowering Rush.

Visit the MWCA Weed ID page for details about Flowering Rush. Contact your local weed coordinator if you think you find it in your area. There may be a reward.
