9:00-9:45 – Weed Identification (K. Morris)- Learn key characteristics of common noxious weeds
9:45-10:15 – Reading a chemical label (T. Moon)- Learn to read a chemical label so you apply the right product at the right rate at the right time in the right situation
10:15-10:30 Break
10:30-11:00 – Personal Safety PPE (Steffany Rogge) – Learn to protect yourself from exposure of products
11:00– 11:30 – Chemical— Mixing and loading safely – (T.Moon) Being safe with chemical is important. Protect yourself, the environment, equipment and more
11:30-12:00 – Native and Wildflower (plants to protect (S. Pease)- Is that White top or Yarrow? Learn the good plants and how to protect them
12:00-12:30 Lunch (provided)
12:30-1:30 – Calibration of Backpacks (Dave Brink)- If a little chemical is good a lot is NOT better, learn to calibrate your sprayer. Bring your personal sprayer for calibration assistance
1:30-2:00 – Bio-control Identification and options (Christy Schram) – Bugs, bugs, and more bugs. Learn to identify bio-control and what options are available for knapweed, toadflax, St. Johnswort, and leafy spurge
2:00-3:00 – ATV/UTV Calibration (Dave Brink)- Calibration of boom sprayers
3:00-3:30 – Organic– Non Chemical options (Stacy Pease/ Homestead Organics)- Respecting your neigh-bors and protecting the organic farms Learn the good plants and how to protect them
3:30-4:00 Grass Identification (Patrick Mangan)-Revegetation for a healthy plant community: grass spe-cies selection and considerations
4:00-4:15 – Financial help—Grants and cost share programs Available
